If you want to open a new tab in iTerm in your same working directory, you can use the following steps:
- Navigate to preferences or use (⌘,).
- Click on the Keys settings.
- Hit + in the bottom left corner to add a new shortcut.
- Record a shortcut of your choosing
- Using the dropdown menu for Action: select ‘Duplicate Tab”
